Unfortunately, the podcast host I use to publish to iTunes hasn’t updated my storage like they should have, but even if I had all my storage for the month, it wouldn’t be enough for this Week 8 Couch to 5k Podcast (right click “save as”), because it is packed with JAMZZZ!
I didn’t want to make you wait any longer, so while I try to figure out my storage situation, you can get your run on.
Start with your 5 minute walking warm-up, and then get your head together to run/jog/walk/twerk for the next 28 minutes.
We’ve made it to week 7 and considering the political shit-storm currently happening (I’m sure you feel it regardless of which candidate you’re rooting for) it’s the perfect time to channel your rage into something positive – like accomplishing your goals and getting healthy!
We’ll be doing our regular 5 minute walking warm-up, followed by 25 minutes of nonstop running! Lace up them shoes, stretch it out and get ready to leave behind any limiting beliefs you brought with you because you’re about to kick some serious ass.
Your new Couch to 5k podcast is up and ready to help get your sweet behind moving. This week, we’ll start with our usual 5 minute walking warmup then go into intervals of 90 seconds jogging and 2 minutes walking, for a total of 20 minutes. Don’t forget to cool down, stretch and most importantly, when you’re done:
Oh snap – it’s 2015 y’all! I’m a little bit concerned about how quickly time is going by these days, however, I am also enjoying myself a lot more these days. Damn, that adage is true! Unfortunately, I’m also concerned about the way my winter weight isn’t just creeping up on me, it has basically slapped me in the face and decided to crash on my couch for an undetermined amount of time. BUT – I just forked over money for a gym membership and new running shoes and I’m ready to evict that bitch and get my ass in gear to run a 10k this summer (I realize that a half marathon would’ve been more impressive, but all that training would really interfere with my drinking schedule).
And so I present to you: Week 1 version 4(!!!) of the Chubby Jones Couch to 5k podcast. I think I found some great music to get us started with a 5 minute walking warmup followed by intervals of 60 seconds of running jogging and 90 seconds of brisk walking for a total of 20 minutes (the math on this is a little iffy, but whatever).
Somehow we’ve managed to make it to the last weeks of February so it’s about time my intro to 2014 mix made it to the blog. I’ve been busy searching for jobs, accepting a new job (I start next Monday!!!) and finding some sweet jams to bring some warmth to the icy snowy mess we’ve been dealing with this winter.
Another task on my to-do list for today will be to finish version 3 of my week 8 couch to 5k podcast for you all. I am signing up for the Brooklyn Color Run taking place July 5th, so if you’re in the area and want to run with me, let’s turn this mother out!
