Chubby Jones C25k Week 8 V4 Podcast

Unfortunately, the podcast host I use to publish to iTunes hasn’t updated my storage like they should have, but even if I had all my storage for the month, it wouldn’t be enough for this Week 8 Couch to 5k Podcast (right click “save as”), because it is packed with JAMZZZ!

I didn’t want to make you wait any longer, so while I try to figure out my storage situation, you can get your run on.

Start with your 5 minute walking warm-up, and then get your head together to run/jog/walk/twerk for the next 28 minutes.

  1. My MacBook can’t open the “read more of this post” link…. bummer. I ran my first 5K yesterday, listened to V3 Week 9 – took you along with me. Woo Hoo.

  2. Hello there, I stumbled upon your podcasts a few months ago after a friend recommended you. I used to be a runner…..several years ago and before children. I’ve tried in vain to get back into it, with little success. So, just a quick question, where should I begin? You have tons of podcasts! Do you recommend getting started with a particular series? The most current? Thanks so much! Any advice will be greatly appreciated appreciated.
    Sincerely, Shannon

    • Hey Shannon! Begin by reminding yourself that you are still a runner. It is inside of you, she’s just a little slower than before and that is how it’s supposed to be because doing things too quickly would likely result in injury. So, be nice to your inner runner, she’s perfect. The next step is to start with Week 1 of either version 3 or version 4. Even if week 1 seems like it’s too easy for you, start with that and come back to it at any point in your training. The first few weeks are going to allow you to find your comfortable pace and running posture. Thirdly and ALWAYS, I don’t care if it feels as though you are literally jogging in place, the goal is to just do it. We don’t care how fast you’re going or how far. The progress will come naturally.

Always feel free to reach out with questions/comments!

  3. Mia, I just found your podcasts and I love them! I like the variety of music and never knowing what to expect.Tonight it was some awesome mash ups (in week 2). I think I even ran faster during bulletproof / titanium because I was enjoying the music so much. I love your comments as well. You are funny and encouraging without being sappy. I feel like I have my own private coach. Thank you!

  4. Hi Mia…Deborah from Montreal here. it’s 2022 and we’ve just gotten past 2 years of the pandemic! All the comments on you page and entries seem to stop at 2017. Guess what though: you are still a legend and helping us kick ass on our runs! It’s been a rough couple of years for me and I finally said: fuck this shit – it’s so or die. You have been the high priestess to my return to the land of the living. Sometimes I hate you, but mostly you make me laugh and I love you. Hope you are doing ok wherever you are in this world 🙂

    • Well hello Deborah from Montreal! You are correct, I haven’t been in this space in a while (although I wish I could make more podcasts…just short on time and music I won’t get sued for using) but I am SO happy you’re still taking me for a spin with you to be your chubby cheerleader (that definitely hasn’t changed). I’m so proud of you for getting out there and crushing it!! My wife and I actually just did a 5k two weekends ago and I still curse and don’t “like” it – but after I stopped dry heaving, I was very happy that I had done it. Sending you big hugs — Mia
