Hey guess what, I still LOVE this song and I don’t care if you hate Lana Del Rey or the overt oral sex references in this video. BJ away my friend!
And yes, I would totally hit it!

It’s kind of hard to believe Gossip hasn’t released anything for quite some time now – probably because I haven’t stopped playing the shit out of Music for Men due to it never getting old. Ever.
Well, brace yourselves my friends, because you are in the same room as greatness. From Beth’s opening, “Oh-oo-ooh-oo-ooh” you will recognize the sadness within “Perfect World”, but just as all songs from this band go, there is a sense of redemption and optimism that will make you want to use one arm to pump your fist while the other stays safely near your mouse so as to click the play button again.
A Joyful Noise comes out in May. (via TripleJ)
There are a lot of people putting their grandparents on YouTube these days – and trust me, I totally understand the need to show the world how awesome or cute the elderly people in your life are. Not all grandparents on YouTube – or in life – are created equal though, so many of these videos elicit an, “Aww, that’s nice,” response, but that’s pretty much it. I don’t want to steal anyone else’s grandma – or at least I hadn’t before now.
Meet this 97-year-old grandma who, just like my gram, hasn’t met a piece of chocolate she didn’t like. Regardless of the look on her dog’s unimpressed face, this little lady can get down with the get down! Hell, she keeps dancing even when the music stops. You just can’t tame this dancing beast.
More important than her happy feet, just look at the sweetness in her face. I bet she gives great hugs. I tip my hat to you, some stranger’s cute grandma, way to keep it real for 97-years and counting.

Former Fleet Foxes drummer J. Tillman has a new solo project by the name Father John MIsty. He just released an NSFW video that my depraved little heart loves. You’ve got this beautiful, soft and slightly high-pitched man’s voice singing about being flogged by a dominatrix as if he were still just hanging out with some long-haired dudes on the grassy knoll singing about the weather. It’s Bee Gees meets a role reversal in The Secretary. BTW, if you are a fan of dark humor and, just as an example, know and celebrate the legend that was Leigh Bowery, you should really follow Tillman’s Tumblr too – I have a feeling shit’s gonna get really weird.
Here’s a stream and download of another song, “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings”, from his full length debut, Fear Fun, out May 1st.
