Not only is “Wavvy” a JAAAAM primed to make you sweat on the dance floor, but the companion video is hot like fire both cinematically and conceptually. Mykki Blanco is as rough and gruff as a rapper comes, but this bitch is so fierce he can do it in some drag. The video’s director, Franceso Carrozzini, deserves three snaps up in z formation. I think I’ve been listening to too much EDM as of late because, while I am terribly excited about this Crystal Castles track, I keep waiting for the damn bass to drop and some throbbing “whomp whomp whomp” style beats to kick in.
